Care guide

Overview

Saharan Uromastyx (Uromastyx geyri) — a sun-loving desert herbivore that needs a very hot basking spot, strong high-output UVB, and very low humidity (keep it under about 35 percent; damp conditions cause respiratory disease). Feed a strict herbivore diet of dark leafy greens, vegetables, and seeds — no animal protein. They hydrate mostly from food, so standing water is usually omitted.
