Overview
Spanish Ribbed Newt (Pleurodeles waltl) — the largest and one of the hardiest aquatic newts, making it an excellent beginner caudate. Keep it in a cool, filtered, largely aquatic tank; it stays underwater most of the time. Avoid warm rooms.
